Newton County High School High Tech

The students in the Newton County High School High Tech program attended a tour of the CDC in Atlanta on January 27th.  CDC staff in the Office of Minority Health and Health Equity gave presentations to the students on career opportunities that are available at the CDC.  Students were given a guided tour of the David J. Spencer Museum and provided information on the mission of the CDC.  The CDC Disability Program Manager, Darlo Koldenhoven, emphasized to the students the may career opportunities that are available at the CDC.  The students and chaperones had many positive things to say about the experience.   Darlo Koldenhoven coordinated the tour with the assistance of Karen Royston, Program Director for the Georgia High School High Tech Program and  Loneida Dean, Alisa Echols, Tyshema Mitchell and Chris Newsham,  CTI coordinators with the Newton County school system.
